1. Controller and Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the PromptDeck macOS app provided by Clarity Creek Studios ("PromptDeck", "we", "our", "us"). It explains what data is processed, where it is processed, and your choices.
2. Data We Process
PromptDeck for macOS is designed as an offline-first app. We do not operate a backend service that receives your prompt library data.
- Locally stored app content: prompts, categories, template variables, and settings are stored in local app storage on your Mac.
- No account identifiers: PromptDeck does not require account signup or login.
- No direct payment card collection: in-app purchase transactions are handled by Apple.
3. In-App Purchases and Entitlements
PromptDeck may offer paid plans through Apple In-App Purchases (StoreKit). Subscription and purchase processing is performed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card data.
- The app may locally store entitlement status (for example, free vs. premium access) to unlock features.
- "Restore Purchases" requests are handled through Apple purchase APIs.
4. App Privacy Characteristics
- No third-party advertising SDKs are integrated by default.
- No third-party analytics SDKs are integrated by default.
- Apple may process platform-level analytics, diagnostics, and transaction metadata under Apple’s own terms and privacy documentation.
5. Legal Bases (EEA/UK Users)
Where applicable, processing is based on: (a) performing the app functionality you request, (b) compliance with legal obligations, and (c) legitimate interests such as app security and fraud prevention.
6. Retention and Deletion
- Data entered into PromptDeck remains on your local device unless you export it or your OS backup tools copy it.
- Uninstalling the app removes app sandbox data from your device, subject to system backup behavior.
- Because we do not host your prompt library, we cannot centrally delete local files on your behalf.
7. International Transfers
PromptDeck does not transfer your local prompt library data to our servers. Third-party platform providers (such as Apple) may process operational data according to their own cross-border transfer mechanisms.
8. Children’s Privacy
PromptDeck is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through our own servers.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. Since most PromptDeck data is local-only, many actions can be completed directly in-app or by deleting local app data.
10. Policy Updates
We may revise this policy when product behavior or legal requirements change. Material updates are indicated by changing the "Last Updated" date.
